We choose
We watch what people ask for here and pick what is worth sourcing. You can put something on that list yourself.
8PM Drop is a Nigerian shop with one idea behind it: the reason a thing costs less abroad is usually not the thing β it is the quantity. So we gather the quantity.
A factory quotes one price for a hundred pieces and a very different price for one piece. Almost nobody in Nigeria needs a hundred of anything, so almost everybody pays the one-piece price β through an importer, then a wholesaler, then a shop, each adding their cut.
Nothing about that is dishonest. It is simply what happens when you buy alone.
So we stopped buying alone. When a few hundred people all want the same kettle on the same night, that is a hundred-piece order β it just happens to be split between a hundred people. We place it as one order, get the one-order price, and pass it back down.
We are not a marketplace where anybody can list anything, and we do not hold a warehouse of stock waiting for you.
We watch what people ask for here and pick what is worth sourcing. You can put something on that list yourself.
We go to the people who actually make it, agree a price at each quantity, and check they can supply what we are promising.
It runs for up to 24 hours, or until the number available is gone. The price falls as more people buy.
We place the order, it is inspected before it leaves, and it reaches you in 7β12 days.
Most of what makes online shopping feel unsafe is a promise nobody intended to keep. These are the ones we are refusing up front.
The countdown is the actual deadline and the number left is the actual number left. Neither is a sales device.
Product photos come from the factory supplying that batch. We do not lift another seller's pictures.
Every review here is written by somebody who can prove what they are talking about β a delivered order, a confirmed account, money that reached them. When there is nothing honest to show, the space stays empty.
If the price falls after you have paid, the difference comes back to you without you asking for it.
Every request goes on a public list that anyone can vote on, and that list is where we look first when deciding what to source next. It costs nothing and it does not need an account.
If you want to earn from what you find, list it as a scout: a product you list that we source and sell pays you a fee on every unit, in that Drop and every Drop it runs in again. Ask for a product β Β· Become a scout β
